Stand strong when you feel the world is on your case
Stand strong every time you encounter any resistance
Stand strong accomplishing your goals while staying persistent
Stand strong any time you find yourself engulfed in defeat
Stand strong until every project you have is totally complete
Stand strong even when your standing against all odds
Stand strong in who you are don’t live in a facade
Stand strong even when you feel like you don’t have any escape

THE ABUSED

This is for all of those who in life that have been sadly abused
Who faced traumatic experiences that they didn’t even choose
Who time and again faced sufferings and were being used
Left emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually scarred & confused
A lot of times you held these pains deep within yourself
You didn’t feel you would be believed if you cried out for help
I can imagine your thoughts and how you must have inwardly felt
Going through those experiences had to shatter your mental health
So I want to tell y’all I’m sorry for your sufferings and pain
What you went through weren’t your faults so your not to blame
Just never internalize any kind of guilt or feel any kind of shame
Your a survivor, stand strong and be proud of what you overcame
I know some have taken their lives because it was too much to bare
And if not then I know you live in constant uneasiness and fear
My heart cries out for all of the abused in the world I swear
I want you to know from my heart I’m one of the people who care
Everyone needs to listen and give the survivors an attentive ear
When the abused speaks their voices are full of pain we can hear
I want to uplift y’all and be of any help I can so let’s make that clear
When it come to those who’ve been abused I daily send up a prayer
QUESTIONS

Do you still hold love for me deep within your heart?
Even though our time ended because we just grew apart
Am I still showing up anywhere roaming in your dreams?
Having you wish we were still standing strong as one team
Can I still make you blush and still make you smile?
You say you moved on but you still think of me all the while
I wonder at times if your heart still beats only for me?
I wonder if it’s true that your feelings about us will never flee
Do you have any kind of regrets that we’re no longer together?
Reminiscing about how we talked about living out life forever
Do you let bygones be just that and not ever think about us?

Our connection to me is one that appears to be God’s will
As we build a life together and help each others past hurts heal

When you Seek God he will help you consistently walk in the spirit
His word will dwell inside you that you won’t hesitate to share it
When you Seek God your walk in righteousness is always on display
He’ll always show up in your life no matter even if there’s a delay
When you Seek God he will show you his Will and your purpose
God will elevate you even when you feel undeserving and worthless
As you Seek God he will guide you in the right ways as he lead
Because when you Seek God first and walk in his righteousness, he will add to you everything you need
Time Heals All Wounds

Broken love has a way of making us lose our self too

On the 22nd day in 1986 it was a cold night in December
When you gave birth to me – as I’m sure you gladly remember
I was the second of three kids and you just became a wife
A young black woman in the world just trying to live your life
Being young I remember all the times we constantly moved around
But no matter what life threw at our family you always held it down
There were a lot of negatives on your journey that you had to face
Even if you were broken inside you still showed nothing but grace
You showed me the meaning of what a strong woman do represent
You showed me with your actions truly what perseverance meant
You always showed me your love and care the best way you could
If I faced any adversities in life you always listened and understood
Regardless of the darkness you faced – you never left me behind
Every experience we been through I would never want to unwind
You give me encouragement whenever I’m feeling down and out
You motivate me to keep pressing on and to never embrace doubt
For Woman’s History month and everyday your who I honor you see
So I just want to remind you how – You’re A Champion To Me

The road to success will inevitably call your bluff
With adversities, obstacles, and all kinds of stuff
That terrain you travel on will be unsteady, rocky, and tough

As defeat creeps in your mind from every time you’ve tried
Your frustrations begin to mount deep down inside

I can tell you that success only respect persistence
Because the more effort you put in – success gives up resistance
Success test your will power to see if you’ll go the distance
And you’ll only be rewarded after you show that your consistent
So the road to success will be based on what you make it
You only get two options and success won’t let you fake it
If your will power is not strong enough then success will break it
However, if you’re built for the journey then you should take it
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Would you want to see my downfall and me plummet to the floor?
Or would it all be genuine because you really want to see me soar?
If I was on middle ground what stance would you take?
Would you embrace me with love or would you show me all hate?
Or would you do nothing because you don’t have anything at stake?
No matter what level I’m on what decision would you make?
DON’T LOSE HOPE

These senseless acts of violence needs to rapidly decrease

You can elevate yourself to be better if you want that the most
PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN and be a productive citizen of society
Stop using drugs or alcohol so your daily actions are in sobriety
PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN and pick up a pad along with a pen
Go write a best seller book and watch all the awards you’ll win
PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN and write the next big screenplay
You have an amazing talent and need to put it on display
PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN and become an entrepreneur
You will accomplish so much if you choose to open that door
PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN and live with love in your heart not hate
We need to spread this to every country, city, town, and state
PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN is our message we need to all share
We can bring about change if we all put the efforts in from here
PUT THOSE GUNS DOWN…..
THE CLIMB

A voice inside your head says you’ll never reach it
It feels like you’re lost with every move you’re making
So you second guess every step you’re taking
If you go through a hindrance and feel your faith is shaking
Invigorate yourself, carry on, and say, “No I am not breaking!”
Life unfailingly brings uphill battles, and occasionally you’ll lose
There’ll be another mountain, and you’ll want to make it move
Misfortunes leave you in pain with a temporary bruise
Stand tall in adversity – that’s something you have to choose
Hold your head high no matter what life brings your way
Keep pushing on despite the struggles you face everyday
Your experiences are moments you will always recapture most
You may not know these moments will one day define your growth
It’s not about what’s on the other side nor how fast you get there
It’s about the Climb, so keep moving forward without any fear
