Dennis Mintun has been incarcerated for over 20 years. His first venture into writing was “Keeping the Pidgeons from the Hawks” under the pen name Cougar Newquist, which was published by Spotlight on Recovery in 2103. He has been a regular contributor since then (now under his own name). He was selected as an exclusive writer for a new magazine, “As Above, So Below.” He has also been published in Thema Magazine, Idaho Insider, American Prison Writing Archive, Safe Streets Arts Foundation and others.
