Hi, my name is Thomas Scott Rosser, but everyone just calls me Tommy. I am currently serving a non-agg., 12-year sentence for possession of methamphetamines. I have now served 5 years on that sentence. It is my 3rd time down with the previous 2 being revolved around drugs. I am an x-gang member of a prison gang who’s reaching out to the ones that I can pull away from that lifestyle. But that’s not me or who I am, that’s just what I’m doing. I’m a 45-year-old writer who loves to write poetry, short stories, and music. I love playing the guitar and generally love people. I especially love older people for their characteristics and what I can learn. They can teach so much. I have an avid love for animals and I really believe that people who hurt animals is gonna have to answer for that with God when they move on. I really love life and have a serious passion for music, all genres. I have always been an artist but I am really pushing myself to pursue it so much more. I want to write a book of poetry containing all points of my life. The bright and the dark. I want to write children’s books as well. I have a good imagination and a way of giving the listener a clear, detailed image of what I’m talking about. I have been told that I talk too much but that doesn’t stop me. I have two sons and I lost the love of my life to a car accident so you can say I’ve had beauty and heartache. You will see it in my writing. A lot of my writings are personal, parts are from my life, but some are from listening to others in prison. I’m a Capricorn being born in Houston, Texas but I like to think of myself as a country boy. I choose trees over concrete. So this is a little of who I am and what I used to be and what I am doing, but I am just Tommy. Thank you for your reading.
