I was 21 when the backdoors of the Transport Van opened up and I was deposited on Texas Death Row. That was 26 years ago. Those 26 years have been spent trying to find my voice. I searched thru Poetry with my book WITNESS TO MURDER. I searched thru Activism by fighting against the death penalty. And I have searched the Art , which I have to say is my favorite medium . Art allows me to leave something tangible of myself to this world . Having seen HUNDREDS of men and women murdered by the State of Texas to be seemingly forgotten by the world because most people only saw them as NUMBERS , I wanted people to see me as a HUMAN BEING. I hope that thru my art and my writing you can do that.
