Adapt and Concure
By Samson Casiano

Adapt – to be alone and understand
One is human.  Easily confronted with
Dignity and knowledge.  Only to think that friends
And family would be loyal and forget not.  To belong?
To forge on one’s own.  In a world that can be so cruel?
And yet so beautiful.  To see all people in this world
In a  totally different way.  When all trust and light?
Has gone.  Yet to understand one MUST MOVE ON.
Concure
To fight and never give up no matter the circumstances,
Never compromise what’s right, never surrender to the demons that surround
You, that constantly attempt to suck all the life and goodness from one’s soul.
Do not accept failure even when one’s on foreign soil.
To concure one’s negative thoughts and to see
Beyond today.  Even though tomorrow is not
Promised and neither  are the next few seconds
One must focus on persistence, and give special
Concern to people of common intelligence.
And to give successful collaboration and embrace
The spirits of confidence, wisdom, strength.
To overcome and make possible
What people have said was
Impossible.

Creator’s Intention
By Samson Casiano

His intention is for us to  succeed
To become one under the beautiful sky
To learn and understand just how much
It means to be alive.  To  breathe, love,
To see what the beautiful mother  Earth
Provides us to survive.
His intentions  are for us to love one another
Without betrayal, discrimination, bias,
And to keep our souls from domination.
His intentions for us are to be blessed, so
We can bless others.  To be loyal, not greedy,
But to help the needy.
His intentions are for us to be true to
Ourselves and to never undermine
The common good in our brothers and
Sisters.  No matter what part of this
Beautiful world we all come from,
From the Creator  of this world we are

All made in good intentions.

Justice What It’s Not

By Samson Casiano
It’s not what the powerful get away with
It’s not what the innocent suffer
It’s neither black nor white
Justice is not plain under the color of law
It’s not wrongful injustice
To be distributed by infallible men
To destroy the meaning of freedom
It’s not to be traded,
Nor degraded
Justice cannot stand if it’s not JUST
Those that claim that cannot be held
Accountable for their actions
Or inactions for that matter
Justice is not clean if one that handles
Her with dirty hands
Justice is not that snake that the
Eagle devours
Justice is not jealous
Nor is she one
To take for granted
Not does she sympathize with the
Ones who deserve
To feel the pain of what
Is equal Justice
She is not kind nor blind to the fact
That you deserve what you get
Nor is she forgiven under any
Circumstance
So pay attention because this what Justice
Is not!
