The Definition of Real

By De’Kota Despain

For the longest of time I’ve searched myself and those in my surroundings for even a hint of the true definition of real.  Waking up with this on my mind, it seems that I have discovered a thread leading to the true definition of not only real but also what is fake.  I’ll begin with this:

Everyone claims they are real but no one, it seems, will say when they are being fake.  So how can anybody be really real without someone taking charge of being fake?  So who is real, and what is fake?

Realizing everyone ain’t loyal is the acronym for real and by the direction of my thoughts in searching for the answer, it’s a good start.  Everybody ain’t loyal, so that infers that someone has to be fake.  So if the one who was fake takes his charge of fakeness, does that not make him real at least in that moment?

Now I’ll say this:

Who is real and what is fake?  Who is what and what’s who?  When is who which and what makes who the opposite and why can’t who REAL EYES when each who is which and who’s opposite?

I’ll end with this:

So you’re real until it’s for my sake.  Then you’re innocent and I’m the scape.  See, that in and of itself is what it takes to define who is real and what is fake.

Driven By Eternity

By Dekota Despain

For us to be driven

We first must be drove

Then sit back and listen

To the stories being told

When we are truly driven

We’ll open our eye to know

Where we have been

And where we are trying to go

Eternity long behind us

An eternity more to show

From the center of Earth

To infinity past Pluto

What makes our lives count

Is the seeds we all sow

There is no set amount

To the things we can grow

From eternity we’ve begun

Through eternity we must go

By eternity we are driven

Down eternity’s endless road
