In Love

I didn’t think being in love would make me so sad.
I endure the pain, I welcome it. It’s something
I never had to be lost in love. I must find my way.
I know you were meant for me. I miss you each and
every day. To hear you cry, I want to kiss away your
tears. I know you’ll do this for me so let’s face
all our fears. I didn’t think being in love would
make me so mad, mad at myself and mad at this
cruel world cuz I’m just a young boy and you’re
just a young girl in love. I found beauty through
the chaos. I see love through the cracks. One
single flower arose in the darkness of black.
The pain is what makes you strong so please
allow me to wipe your tears away as the moon
feeds into the night. Tomorrow is a brighter day.
Nonetheless, I could never take you for granted.
That is forever true. Any man would be grateful
to have interlocked their souls and to have met you.

I feel I don’t have to lie
I feel you are the one for me
My wife, your husband in a tuxedo and bow tie
I feel I know your soul and your soul knows me
Your heart is my lock and your heart is my key
I feel your body is a map and I know the destination
I feel nobody can take that place I know so well with no navigation
The heart wants what it wants
The soul knows what it needs
I feel your body belongs to me so owner beware
I feel you know this already
My mind, body, and soul have been yours and please trust them with care
I can’t imagine the pain you’re in
I’ve created such a wonderful thought
You make me feel things I was never taught
I won’t be in this darkness for long
Your light shines bright when you fly like a bird to our song
I miss the simple things that we talk about
I thank God every time my name comes out of your mouth
I yearn for your laughter, it brings me love
You are my songbird, no one else I will be thinking of
