I’ve been waiting for publication since 1998. I didn’t publish my first story until 2019 with PEN America. I won the Feilding A. Dawson award. During COVID 2021 another story was read at an event for the Brooklyn (New York) Public Library by MacArthur Genius Jacqueline Woodson. I love art and studying how things are made. I’m from (West) Baltimore, MD. I went into the MD Penitentiary at 15. I turned 52 last month. At the end of this semester, I will have completed 2 years in Georgetown University’s BLA program. I was selected 1 of 25 from 400 applicants to pioneer the first co-hort. I love to exercise and read. And, I’m a really nice guy!
