An Earnest Request
By Andrew Ramseur
hear my plea for these
cards were stacked they failed
to mention the instructions
attached
trickery in waves that breach
the surface a cold realization
of a system with a purpose
the odds are slim doom has a
plan oppression is thick the
worldly weight on a man
a foot on my neck no ears
for the truth a life as a
compromise my burden
of proof
so here I stand with sadness
to proclaim in reluctance
is born a preacher
of pain
Passion
By Andrew Ramseur
In the morning light
love always burns the brightest
embers in the wind
Mental Help
By Andrew Ramseur
Please understand that this
Is not a cry for help no
This is what help would cry
For if it was not busy trying
To figure out all of
The regulations that require
Formal requests
A protest
Of normal protocols
When real help is needed
When common sense is at
The forefront and not
The backburner no this is
Not a deviation from
Humanity more like a
Directive to be human
To be viewed as more
Than broken
More than a pent up
Expression of
Please help me
Help myself
