At the age of 21, Ramelle Kamack went to jail for his role in a gang-related shooting. During his incarceration he turned his life around and seized the opportunity to earn three college degrees and entrench himself in liberal and fine arts. Now, he uses his education to build a platform through writing and prioritizes in giving back to under-served communities. “As a writer, I want to use my craft to make a difference so I started by telling my readers a different type of story.” Seeking to inspire cultural change but confined behind bars, he releases his message through his writing.
