My name is Jeff H. Freeman. I’m 52-year-old. I have hazel eyes, salt-n-pepper hair, and try my best to stay fit and maintain healthy habits.
I have always enjoyed writing poems and creating slices of life through short fictional stories. Some of my most favorite authors include Raymond Carver, Ann Beattie, Ron Rash, Lydia Davis, Ernest Hemmingway, and John Cheever. I also occasionally enjoy reading such authors as John Grisham, Cormac McArthur, Wiley Cash, among others.
When I’m not working my day job as a teacher’s assistant for the Campbell University Liberal Arts program here at Sampson Correctional Institution. I do my best to make time for exercising – at least five times each week. Besides jogging, I enjoy moderate CrossFit training, light weight-lifting, and other aerobic exercises.
As well, when on the outside in the free world, I thoroughly enjoy the outdoor life, and nature in general. I specifically enjoy hiking, camping, and canoeing. I also love grilling out and spending time with friends and loved ones, which includes sharing good humor and having fun and not taking anything for granted.
Of course, I’ll be the first to tell you: I’ve made a few mistakes in my life – most, through, occurred while I was still a teenager. But I’ve learnt from those mistakes and try not to let them define me or restrict me or from archiving my goals and maintaining a positive mental attitude in my daily life.
Thanks for letting me share some of my writings and a little about myself. I look forward to continuing to share with all of you who visit and/or participate at Minutes Before Six (MB6).
Do feel free to share your comments and feedback. Also please feel free to contact me through the online text provider @ TextBehind.Com or TextBehind Mobile App, or you may send hand-written mail to TextBehind @ P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131. Again, thanks. Hope to hear from some of those MB6 readers and writers in the future. Until then, stay safe and healthy. And may God Bless all of you.
