Hello my name is Jason Johnson, I’m a 43 year old man that has been incarcerated since the age of twenty two. I hope that thru my lived experience I can assist others on their journey called life with the thoughts, feeling’s, and emotions I have developed via my own travels. The human heart is what connects us, so my bold hope is to write my name in kindness, love, and mercy on the hearts of everyone I’m afforded the opportunity to come into contact with, and hopefully that is the part of me that is left and never forgotten when I leave this world. I enjoy the ability to establish presence in the form of attunement without actually being present, in my opinion its the ultimate present, and one which never stops giving. I know it may sound kind of chiché, but I honestly do believe we are all doing time, and with that being said although my situation has it’s uniqueness I feel that we’ve all dealt with being a prisoner of some sort in one way or another.Freedom is a self defining concept that we must find through hurt & pain, it’s a scary endeavor therefore most never fully experience it’s enjoyment or delight. Hopefully we can find that happy place together organically in growth & healing with the pen.
Thank you for this moment in time that I respect, that you’ll never get it back, you’ve chosen to share with me.
