Gary Robert Buchanan born 5/3/62. Raised in Chattanooga Tennessee moved to Nashville in 1996. I have been bedeviled by my addictions all of my life. I came to prison for the first time in Douglas Arizona then in Tennessee. This all started in 2003. I am currently serving the last of a 14-year sentence for car theft and assault. I am scheduled to be released in September 2023.

I found the pen during COVID while doing time at Bledsoe Country Correctional Complex. Two factors I believe contributed to my sudden realization of my literary talent. First, I started to grow my hair and like Sampson I found my strength. Secord, Buddhist meditation cleared my mind of all the plaintiff supplications of Christianity and allowed me to think.
