Do you see the glass as half empty? Or half full? As someone who has been locked up for over a decade now, it can be easy to adopt a pessimistic point of view when dealing with the curve balls life throws at us.
My name is Bryce Huber (DOC #352455). I am from Seattle, WA and I am in prison for murder. This charge is my one and only felony. Since I still have around 18 years remaining on my sentence, I have started writing as a hobby. I now use my words before fists; my thoughts and ideas are stronger than any shank I’ve ever held. Writing has allowed me an outlet to stay positive and productive in a place where misery runs rampant. It frees my mind from the cell that sadly is my home and it has helped me grow into much more than just another prisoner. I am 5 credits away from my AA; I just finished writing my first screenplay, and I have submerged myself in poetry to shed light on the issues and problems I see in society today. You can see and hear some of my poetry/spoken word on Instagram or TikTok @resentenceBryceHuber or connect with me directly on Jpay.com. I’d love info on any additional writing opportunities. Stay positive!
