My name is Bao Vu Nguyen, and I’m doing Life without the Possibility of Parole (LWOP). I am 42 years old, and I have been in prison for 23 years. I am an artist and writer. I have published poetries in the San Joaquin Review, on Prison Journalism Project, and in an anthology called Arriving (2024) by Asian Prisoner Support Committee. I collaborated with other comic book creators on a graphic novel called Dead Men Walking. Most importantly, I am committed to living amends to better my community.
