Your Smile
By Jose De Anda
Within my flesh
I’ve photographed your smile
While you left in remnants
Live crumbles of my dark soul
Others yearn for it like pendants
It’s all vibrant potential
The sensual oozes out your pores
Sensual memories that was
Replay in my rear view
Like tunes
Tune into these epic episodes
They’re real
You adore the unspoken
Even when I speak
You creamed all over my shadow
In my dreams
What you waiting on?
King me with your love, Queen
See I’ll be there to love
Blessings pouring from above
Put them walls down Lil Mama
Just trust me
Forgive my deliverance, it’s rusty
Other men are just dusty
I got that supreme love
You been missing
Clouds stay kissing the moon’s light
While I stay missing your pure vibes
Catch me admiring your physique
Yearning for your unconditional amor
My amor is not a mystery
Wait, there’s more
Your smile resuscitates easily
Not seeing you sickens me
So why won’t you stay?
Stay a little more than usual
Allah already blessed our unusual.
Oh, Autumn
By Jose De Anda
Oh, Autumn
have you come to uplift me
as this glomyness invades?
or are u a passerby
brezzing thru the rain?
pain sheeren trains
withering my strengh
I see her as she walks
a dotted dog,
she caresses it
with such dedicate
her hands look delicate
then sits by that ,
rusty ol bench
to lend it comfort.
The brown loose leafs
adorned by patches
of green,web at the
air unannounced yet
she stares unmoved
as noon they bounce
like if I don’t breath
Am I an anchored soul
invisible?
Is neglect here to stay
implanted rather then
lend its comfort till Spring?
Unlayed in wait
vommiting forth
springfuls of bait,
Or creating a vaccum
taming my words into
mere echos or,
heavy whyspers
the silence stole?
Its source potent as prophecys
while the silence questiones
is it strong enough
to bare such hunger?
oh autumn
I lay here in wonder.
Neighbors
By Jose De Anda
As my body’s lungs
held on-
Air inside the tomb
evaporated in capsules
replaced by dabbles
of stillness
still air that began
suffocating me
A stillness that
invades my red bones
to their core
why score
can’t u hear
the neighbors next door?
A young couples
unshared story’s
undreamed dreams
galore
unexplored journeys
Then the stillness
interrupted suddenly
loud noise creeping
trickling as it
poorest out of nothingness
Ocean shores roar
as tiny crabs shake
grabbing at neighbors
Dancin at new sights
disguise terrains
Old shells scattered
while it smells
like morning coffee
Is my mind napping?
Rebel Love
By: Jose A. DeAnda, III (Jim Dandy)
The spirit of a rebel always loves
Deeply yearns to fly without restrain
Even when the vindictive winds suffocate the raw
Pain of no solace to remain
It’s then my luminous self is found
Like a mere perfect mistake
Our love retakes
Its wingless flight unscathed
Cascade while falling out of water
Towards oneness without despair
Staring at unconditional love anew
We flew pass uncertainty
Serenity at last
I now taste springfuls of your love
Til we infinitely bloom
I’m knocking on doors to your heart
Trying to find the right room
Until then I’m perfectly imperfect
A rebel with a cause
Causing love pass zillion noons
New Arrangements
By: Jose A. DeAnda, III (Jim Dandy)
He said, “let’s make ‘em.”
Hold on, you’re caught up doing the extras
Forgot the car was left runnin
Pruno still brewing
No gas, where you going?
Distractions, no arrangements
No gas
Lacking self-reliance
Self-determination out the window
Almost forgot what you were doing . . .
Fuck innuendos!
Still in the ghettos
Making paper?
Only chasing momentos.
Let’s make ‘em
Not break ‘em
Chase them fears out!
Your car a broken vehicle
It’s you with no drive
Just stagnant
Motovation???
Inailated
Where you at? . . .
Preservations for what?
Nothing but ashes and mud
In a pot with no matches
No fire
You gave up the fight . . .
Disintegrated no story!
Will power?
Evaporated
They said: “No Mexican slaves”
Free all of them!
Gang bangin? Not cool.
Kill the games
New arrangements
The dream of last night
Was it real?
You are – Arrangements
Snatch one up
Forget gasoline for a car
Reflections give me the chills
Light it up
It’s your way – positive change
Your destiny – make a path
No shame . . .
If you ain’t getting these messages
Then the struggles may be lost
Re-read, re-shift, re-focus
Re-gain, re-everythang
Real arrangements
Let’s make ‘em
Not brake ‘em
He said – they said
It’s all that I say
New arrangements
Now it’s a must we engage.
Messed-up Melodies
By Jose DeAnda (Jim Dandy)Roaming life-less. . .
No one knows why I’m like this
Carving names
On ‘em digital mailboxes
My dreams stay dream-ing
Of dreams
Just end-less cycles
I might just uncover the veil
Who knows like dust I will prevail
Re-emerge from nothing-ness
Fine tune the messed-up melodies . . .
In between wakes, reminisce
“You G-rided my heart!”
Got me chasing for your love
On the run of the hunt
Peek-ing through so many blocks
Cities upon cities
Bumping into “fast love”
I was missing you
Wishing it was really true
That it was me and you.
Pools and pools of beautiful women
Voices in unison claiming
I’m the one!
A perfect attraction of unions
Motivations desires all in one
Their love is not enough
Put together it didn’t measure up
Simple souvenirs that couldn’t replace you!
Even mounted-up
Geometrical equations:
I found a freckle or two
Within dozens a few butterflies blooming
That reminded me of distant memories
Messed-up melodies
Tattoos got scar’d from feeling the pain
They are alive on my skin
Every bump on the road
They fall more apart . . .
Grade A mix race
But it’s still not enough
To swim out this hopeless-ness
It’s not about race
Though, racism breathes . . .
Dope-in veins
I swear it’s not me
It’s insane medicines
Messed-up melodies
Playing in ma-head
Looking inside myself
At these footprints
Prints, so many footprints
You left on my soul!
Even a sand storm can’t blow ‘em away
It’s hieroglyphic art on display
Exclude the hype – fuck a hoax!
Took ma-love on a test ride
Cause: you didn’t want to be broke
Feeling super high
Left me out to dry
Lost in a hot desert search-ing for tracks
Then the sand dis-appeared
See through glass!!
Jumping up a cliff
Staring down the eye-less clouds
As they pouring-out
Hypnotic sounds like remedies
Distorted flashes inside my dreams . . .
C’mon where you at? I’ll make you a deal
Can’t find my way
Through the heavy fog
Give me back my heart!
Hope you didn’t tear it up
The song is on repeat
“Always had enough
Always had too much”
Of this fast love
Messed-up melodies had me like a fien . . .
Now I’m out of breath
Everyone thinks that I been dead!
Prison captivity not meant for the live’en
This shit is crushing me
Like someone stepping on ants
But why do I feel so much pain
Since they claim to the world
I no longer exist
Probably; she’s searching for me!
Is she searching for me?
Possibly
Or maybe I clipped the messages
Flat line beats
The rhythm in broken mirrors
That triggered messed-up melodies
And so it only makes sense
To the un-dead.
Dust of Yadot
By: Jose De Anda
Chased down Poems
Through rusted infamous streets
Double pistol holders
Hugging worn dusty folders
Heard the empty sea shells
Growling in their ears
Vibrant—vibrant scenes.
Kicked a leaking canister
That left trails
Out skilled painters
With a humble nitch
Skipped being famous
I painted deep murals in walls
Loudly their speaking ancient lingos
Running into what was…
We walk; skip past rails
Invisible train tracks
Smell stale
She said my heart is pale?
I inhale her sweetness
Like hale
Plato would be proud
Sounds vibrate in the sky
Today is counting backwards
Jellyfish crawling in your living room
Thirsty—thirsty for water
The ocean is dead, dead
Their gasping for watered air
Resting on toasted bread
Half gassed half naked with sunburn
Help turn them over!
Didn’t notice my house burn
The past is the future nova
Catch me and Caroline transport
On your sofa.
Pablo Picasso taught in blue prints
He proclaimed “Today is vanquished
Thee blue ink is tarnished”.
Pounding drums leave signs blinking
Clearing the mist in your mind
Unweaving weaved lies; lies
Internal shadows dancing off disguise
Yadot is the Now!
My presence is drowning in clouds
Who won, won—won?
I’m missing thee
Now wins out
Vultures are chasing me
Who’s pacing back and forth?
Promise it’s not me
Forth and back cows eating deer
Face an ancient here
You’ll phase on to tranquility.
Boredom force American migrations
People panic, you applaud congratulations
Abandon cities feet in ditches
Everyone seems to be
Hiding from their dreams.
Wild flying roaches
Stole my name and ran
Inside corner torches
Live murals took my sneakers
So I’m barefoot
Trees laugh with light—light breeze
Bright light leads
A hidden path of darkness
Society seek to be
Lost indeed
Dead ones want to be
Fully in yadot
Chasing poems like me.
Nobody knows what they’re missing
Till they see
A German horse in their attic
Running into dust
That yadot leaves.
Impact
By Jose De Anda (Jim-Dandy)
Minutes Before Six gave me a lift
I thought my works were simply rotting
In the confines of my lockers
But Dina gave them a life of its own
And with the letter of embracement
It was uplift to my soul
I was laced “Game is Sold Not Told”
Real talk that philosophy is old
And I want to share a little with the world
On a real level I’m battling the devil
The negativity is constantly invading
Go ahead call me a fool for giving peeps sum tools
Positivity cannot be stopped it’s understood
Payment or reward Iis seen people grow
And spark givings of their own
Pelican Bay Prison my ground zero
No longer investing in the negative
Like Good Fellas starting Robert De Niro
I rebuild values and character from ground up
Now I’m looking like a hot Cheetos
Blazing every spot
Now I’m staring at my desk where my TV gave out
Dam Bubble just laid out
I bought it way back bad investment
For now I think its betta no-stressing
They only showing distorted messages
Can’t believe everything on television….
Now in closing are you still there?
I thank my friends “MB6” for making positive impacts
This is coming full circle and I’m really grateful
These impacts and it’s platform is possible thru donations
C’mon let’s make a toast
I encourage the discourage to tap into the true list
‘Of many inspirational incarcerated humans
Give little dividends to boost all this
Its collective missions of giving back is transformational
It’s something worth spreading forth
The CO’s just rack my cell door and you already know
It’s time to socialize
I got to make an impact in real time
I’m Giving Back
Buy Jose De Anda (Jim-Dandy)
I’m no longer defined by my past mistakes, that’s true empowerment
This prison # it’s my enlighten, I got a purpose that I’m unraveling
A true Jim-Dandy and its no wonder they stole my thunder
I’m always smiling and holding strong….
My experiences they brought me knowledge I’m feeling blessed
I’m given wisdom now I’m the realist
Was once successful never be a materialist
In the past invested wrong drive straight in an avalanche’
An honest blunder but I went under
Since I was thinking without thinking of itemize
My visions they blurring visions I’ve rolled the dice
New perspectives scrapping perspectives no need for customize
My heart is pumping what I say?
I’m on the spot n will not stall
I lost my grip ended locked in the S.H.U. I zoned out
Took me a while I found a zip I’m going Up
Defy ventures gave me a platform I’m swaging Out
The volunteers seen my potential and ride with me
I’m feeling great with their support no tapping out
It’s now hustle 2.0 the new horizon I’m on the go n gonna shine
Perfection is my motivation always is creative in my expressions
I been possessed by my redemption withstood the pressure
Let’s illuminate my real comeback I’m truly blessed
Society embraces my giving back I pass the test
For sure I’m thankful for sure I’m grateful
This off the tempo and from my heart
If it wasn’t for support from the Lovely Queen
I’d be dead broke
Not speaking money nor being funny I’m talking love
With me it’s hustle hard and all legit
A real leader in solidarity with all of you creating change
I’ll encourage others but don’t want the fame
The beautiful queen with colored eyes inspired me
She is an angel she is the baddest
I tell no lie still mesmerized
In the precious moments that materialized
Her presence spoke she gave me hope
She didn’t know I was speechless it went untold
Her words literally struck cords they touched my soul
She woke the giant I’m giving back
Fading Memories
By Jose De Anda
The memories of you and the wonderful moments we shared
Seem to me that they are vanishing,
And draining from our lives,
Like water in a bucket with holes …
The wonderful friendship we had is vivid in my soul
Did you know traces of you are found thru -out-
Different moments of my life? …
You’re still here but you’re really not,
It’s obvious that the droplets left in the famous bucket with holes,
Are memories of us that I’ve held on to …
It’s funny cause I don’t know why I’m putting everything on Front Street
The only thing I can describe this feeling with,
Is being possessed better yet I’m still bewitch by you …
Yeah, that’s definitely more like the truth,
And the intention in the collection of emotions and droplets preserved,
Held tightly with hope by my hands,
It can re-spark the friendship we had,
Because those traces of you found in my life,
Are also moments when life was hard and your presence was,
The light at the end of the tunnel …
The helping hand thru and out with no doubts,
The bucket served its purpose,
But you forgot how our friendship really meant so much,
Now all I’m left with is drops and puddles,
Simply fading memories from a time that was …
Lost
By Jose De Anda
I’m lost I cannot find myself ..
I can’t find the escape out of this loneliness and misery,
I’ve tried and tried being happy,
But my emptiness can’t be replaced or filled by my own being,
For I’ve lost my soul,
My life is just harsh and painful …
I sit everyday staring at the same wall,
No one seems to notice me,
If I tried to drown myself the water would reject me,
Spit me back out, why so much much neglect?
I’ve walked in the park and sat by the pond to feed the birds
But even then none came my way …
At night I look for the stars, but find none,
The moon hides from my presence,
My nights are cold and gloomy …
I look in search for a sunny day,
But the sun won’t shine,
Within me my heart burns with desire,
Longing for completeness …
I try to reflect on my past to see where I crashed,
And lose myself in an avalanche …
I can’t find the leverage to dig myself out of this hole,
I’m wishing to be awaken from this nightmare,
Should I surrender to this everlasting madness?
My strength has falter,Without you here,
My life is this everyday sadness …
We All One
By Jose De Anda
The beastly-Vastness of the prison system & all others of oppression
Who America’s rich created without barriers of ramifications and impact
Just sit back, don’t worry they only in their glory sucking in
Browns, blacks, poor whites & other creeds …
It’s no secret to the beasts and depths of hatred & greed,
Many heroes have risen to end hostilities & violence,
Our leaders in household’s band, we all one,
Take a stand,Our storys don’t cease to expand,
These non profits & others need our full support,
They helping youth & all ages find & re-capture their purpose
Bringing forth the unraveling of their full potential,
Let’s inspire others to encouragement,
Our dreams are real, never give up fighting,
Cat Hoke’s a hero creating defy-ventures
Inspiring millions and moving the masses,
Her mission to give back equipping us with knowledge
The beasts voltures relentless took attacks,
Their systems shock, their circuits blew,
Yet they recovered and Cat Hoke was pushed to tumble and fall
The beasts nature is vicious, boundless, it takes no defeat,
The funny thing neither do we,
Our numbers doubled our efforts grew, they knew the trouble
OUr friend is back with a revolutionary plan
It’s called hustle 2.0, let’s put the knots and bolts,
May our vast communities band, support true cause of giving back
Our solidarity brings earthquakes,
That shake the beasts foundation & end it’s reign,
Rebuilt our communities embrace our differences,
Pouring our minds, hearts, money, souls into this reason
Positivity cannot be stopped,
We changing lives, we all one …
