Imagine This
By Ronald W. Clark Jr.
Imagine existing in a 9 by 7 …. 63 square foot cage where you only have 18 square feet of unoccupied space, to pace back and forth in. You start to feel like a caged in animal, pacing back and forth in a zoo. Because you will have tour groups, who come by gawking at you in your tiny cage. And that just adds to the frustration, irritability, anxiety and agitation of being captivated in this cage! Not to mention you feel like crap because your breathing in some type of gases that’s coming out of the drains in the hall, your drinking toxic water that has a black greasy substance in it, and your breathing in mold spores that’s growing in the vents, shower’s and back walls of the cells. On top of that you’ve got the anxiety of overflowing toilets, that at any given time, may spew the guy’s feces, urine, seamen, blood and whatever else he’s flushing all over your cell floor. And if that’s not bad enough, you’ve got to worry about you or someone your close to being marched off to the death chamber to be murdered under the false pretense of justice. Yes, try to imagine that, for that’s the world that I exist in here on Florida’s Death Row.
