Four Flowers
By Brian Fuller
Halfway around the world
In the swirling muddy water Of a long forgotten polluted river Four flowers
Floated by on their way to the sea
Children played under the stars As the people danced
By light from the fires
The bodies burned long into the night
When the sun began to rise in the sky They all left that place
And searched for food
Then it was time to return home and hide from death
