Big Skills
By Keith Taylor

Democracy gives everybody a chance
If you’re blessed to achieve, you could dance
In the system it depends on how you turn out
Plans or luck can determine your route
One way or another all kinds of people make it
Muslims, Christians, Gangstas and some on some fake shit

Big Skills

Education helps you achieve great heights
The odds of failing when you know weight’s light
There’re many levels of achievement that exist
As long as you’re happy where you’re at, you’re on the list
Democracy respects many truths
Success has been done by many groups

Big Skills

For some the tables turn after being down
Some find peace of mind when no love’s around
I’m living proof of many trials
I’ve done a good deed if I could make you smile
There’s room for greater works in this life
If it’s just giving to cause that is right

Self Made
By Keith Taylor

I had to work hard, or things would never change
Working years to get paid and staying sane
We all struggle somehow, that’s how it is
Hell comes in many forms, small or big
If you at it long enough, it pays off
For those that made it to the top, they know the cost
Practice takes time, and for some, luck
We can pray to a god, to come up
Life waits for no one as time pass
Many tried to succeed, and failed the task

The great know the journey, to success
Hard work pays off, and nothing less
We can learn about the dream and go for it
And visualize the day of when we hit
The ones that make it, fulfill their needs
Not just in wealth, but what they see
Life’s truth helps you achieve
Once you get it, you know what you need
The world gets easy to understand
You can master the game, and life’s plan

The Premise of Education
By Keith Taylor

When we all know
We’ll all go with the flow
Pains will no longer exist
We’ll each experience our deepest wish
Every truth will be understood
No need to forgive cause it’s all good
The rest of our life will be brighter days
We reached heavens aim so we won’t age
Education makes the world flow
Into desires that we all know

Choices We Regret
By Keith Taylor

Just because life ain’t perfect
Don’t mean that love ain’t worth it
In our first stage of life we don’t know
When it comes to world love we think slow
The challenge is real that life make
But we can challenge life when it hates
It all happens for a reason so we could live
Life’s school teaches what’s small and what’s big
Choices we regret
I should have followed love from the start
But thoughts appeared that made me hate like an art
Maybe this was just lie’s plan
There is knowledge that make you misunderstood
I believe we can all do it big
When we master all feelings that we live
We have to choose to make everyone their best
Use power to plan love, pass the test

It’ll Just Go to Your Head
By Keith Taylor

Money makes people go mad, have more problems
Miss the big questions in life, where we coming from
Without dreams, what is life for?
Some never get enough, they want more
Gods and power, they wanna will
Materialism is how they keep it real
We wanna ride, one way or another
Selfish belief, or is rights, color
Unconscious about the truth, we blindly live
Needs are the same, small or big
We say we’re right when we’re wrong
Our truths never balance out so we ain’t strong
The truth is giving thoughts to many things
All levels of life and all dreams

The Game Never Changes
By Keith Taylor

What controls the paths we live or die for
The game of life, I need to say no more
People in this world, what is their cause
Are we controlled by a source that feeds us our laws
To religion the truth that leads the way
Different versions of God and how we pray
People in power, paid to rule
But the only plan is the choice we choose
We can talk about life and what’s the aim
Or we can always live our own game

The Game Never Changes

We struggle to live, life’s been this way
Our only peace is subject to how we play
You can examine all lives in history
And find the best truth but can’t change the “we”
The system leads the way along with the laws
The wisest of men can’t change the cause
Is there an absence of God or something we don’t know?
Or is the way my life is the way to go?
All around the world we’re stuck on earth
With the good and the bad, and it all works

The Forefathers Ain’t the Thieves
By Keith Taylor

The forefathers ain’t the thieves
The forefathers are the ones who designed the blueprints and planned the route to the future
The thieves are the ones who worked to achieve
The forefathers dream that chose to do their own thing by any means necessary that followed some of the blueprints instructions to achieve the dreams and even did their own thing after the forefathers like slavery and we still have some of the same beliefs that agreed to slavery in some minds, in certain places in society.
You have to remember that blueprints started way before the bad things that happened in Africa and the workers for the forefathers dreams that came after the forefathers changed the rules and the laws to fit their own selfish agenda but now we live in a world where money really determines what you get in life with the ability to make choices.

Two Vignettes
By Keith Taylor

One day in Brooklyn, New York I was out walking the streets alone at 6 years old looking for something to get into and I sometimes had to walk through gang territory and I always tried to get along with people so I was walking towards a gang area one block from where I lived and I thought of something I could say to them to take the edge off and when I got in this gang area a young gang member walked up to me and I said what’s up, can we talk and he said yeah, I said you know how white people call blacks Nigger, he said yeah, I said if they’re gonna call me a name call Nigga and keep it real say it like you mean it, and he said yeah that sounds like you really ain’t trippin’ on anything that’s what’s up, so this is how the word Nigga came about and was intended for whites to use also.

One day in Brooklyn, New York around 1973 there was a block party on my block my first block party experience and a young guy came up to me and asked me if I would perform on the mic, and I said yeah, then he said what would you do? I said like stuff that rhymes I would just go off the top of my head, and he said without preparing anything, I said yeah, the main thing is just to have fun and stay positive, then he said I have family that’s into music that’s what I’m gonna do. This is my story on how rap started in Brooklyn.

Keepin’ it Real
By Keith Taylor

The founding fathers had a dream
Tech secrets from the jump to watch schemes
Knowing the turnout of humankind can act a fool
People conjure in their mind to rob schools
Most have a word they wanna say
Selfish acts are the norm of the day
The plan isn’t over yet, the days of old
Wishin’ to come back in the future, the hidden scrolls
I believe man can have his own will
Lucky to write life’s plan and keep it real

Keepin’ it Real

Someone had to lead the way and know how
Hard work to get the system where it is now
Life’s not easy toiling earth
Dreams mapped out have much worth
The planners think about all paths
Freedom to choose and not ask
Different sides to the story have been written
A road map to the future, with nothin’ missing
The dream has everything it takes to be a winner
With a fresh pair of eyes for the sinners

Keepin’ it Real

Not many understand how it all works
When they think of the system, they think of jerks
What would you do knowing people turn out right or wrong
I say the designers of the system were all strong
I stand outside of existence looking in
For those that don’t agree, I don’t need a friend
I can find my own way through this life
Free will allows us all to do what we like
You can choose to understand the power that be
Or forever be the norm and what they see
