Don’t Let Me Go
By Raja Smith

Don’t let me go though I’m gone;
We both knew this day would come.
Don’t let me go… there comes a dawn.
We’ll be together to stay forever.
Don’t let me go, I won’t do us wrong,
But a list of reasons to let go:
One main reason to stay…
A bond—our love—so strong.
Don’t let me go; Baby let’s grow.
If you’ll have me, please stay:
I’m not ready to let you go
Or throw it all away.
I love you, you know.
Baby, will you stay?

Hope?
By Raja Smith

What is hope?
Can it be studied or captured?
I am not hope.
I am captured and studied.
Should I lose hope?

Often I do, because what is hope?
In a world that is polluted,
The politicians are corrupt,
The institutions are deluded;
Hope is what?

Hope is renewable,
I studied in captivity.
Hope.

Why should I have hope?
I sit captured and studied,
Studying to catch hope.
In a world that is polluted,
The politicians are corrupt,
The institutions are deluded;
What good is hope?

Turn the rage…
Cross out rage to turn the
Page…

Hope is the seed we plant
Yearning for tomorrow;
Water it with tears
Of joy and sorrow;
Hope.

When hope grows strong,
It can survive;
When the wind breaks you,
Hope can revive.

Grow hope.
Nurture hope.
Study hope.
You’re alive.
