Running Water
By Armando Macias
Water collapses, flies apart then rejoins;
as if never apart.
Two drops of the same stream – together but never side by side.
Two drops from the same running water;
separate but never apart.
Hand in hand , but never aware of each other always apart from each other .
Part of the same story; part of the same process;
so never apart.
loyalty, pride, dedication in the defense and improvement of such running
water, is never apart.
Crashing through life and dissolving all resistance
we love-meet, and savor drops of the same running water .
The fulfillment of home and future travels is found in encounter and meeting.
Two drops of running water, smashing through life; never been physically close,
but for sure – never apart.

I just wanted to thank you for going into the prison and showing compassion with no judgement and offering the opportunity for the inmates to express themselves through art and poetry
Sincerely,
Amber Rose
