Writing #1
By Da’Shae Breeze

My mind the master weaver
Making me an over achiever
I make the impossible possible
I am a strong believer

We have what we say
Straight bi or gay
Speak it into existence
Walk up the kings highway

Our thoughts
A highway to heaven
A road we must take
Following our dreams for own sake

Breakthrough
By Da’Shae Breeze

I was at the edge
Of a breakthrough
But couldn’t see it
Gender dysphoria
Had me down
But salvation came around
It blessed me
So I didn’t let go

I’m here today
A strong trans woman
I survive the test
When I transformed
Into my best
God helped me
He held me close
So I couldn’t let go

Cage Bird
By Da’Shae Breeze

Fly, fly away
Be ye queer
Be ye gay
Flap your wings
Fly, fly away
From that cage
You must be free
The entire world
You must see
Fly, fly away

Racing
By Da’Shae Breeze

I feel like
Is a huge F1 race
I refuse to crash my car
I only want first place

Sometimes I feel like
A runner competing in track & field
But if I stop running
Me, the enemy will kill
So I run on
With dignity & with grace
Staring evil and hate
Squarely in its face

This race is not always given
To the swift
But to those endure
Those with the gift
