Where were you when I needed you the most,
our bodies were close but our minds on separate coasts,
without your love I was lost,
between so many women like a rag doll I was tossed,
until you were just a flickering flame,
my mind was so messed up that I could barely remember your name,
I needed you but you never came back,
you were the only one that could drag me from the dark place I was at,
I needed you but you weren’t there,
you said you loved me but you acted like you didn’t care,
I guess it’s partially my fault,
I did break us up without a 2nd thought,
I heard your life has been kind of crazy,
that’s my fault too because I was supposed to protect my 1st lady,
but I was just a stupid kid with his head in the wind,
not realizing that you were a godsend,
please forgive me and let me make up for lost time,
I promise you this time you’ll always be mine,
I now realize you needed me as much as I needed you,
but your hectic life impeded you,
I’ve searched and found you and only God knows how we’re together,
I love you baby and I need you now and forever.
