Knowledge
By Austin Blair

I always like to say I know a lot about a little and a little about a lot. The same can be said for all of us. However, some of us are outside the box thinkers. I can’t count how many times, somebody couldn’t figure some thing out, only to ask me. When I come up with an idea, they are shocked. I do it when I cook, at work, or just when I am bored. I’ve become a walking idea box (for a lack of better words) that people do not think twice about. At work, I am called a swiss army knife. My friends like to express themselves to me and so I am a so called therapist. The moral and point of this story, is that you should never downplay your natural talents, quirky ideas, etc. Just because somebody else doesn’t like it.

Music is My Savior
By Austin Blair

Can you say music is your savior? I don’t know how many times, had it not been for my music, I would have been stupid. When I say that I mean it literally. I’ve been ready to fight, but instead I go turn on rock music and blare it really loud. Same way when I get sad or depressed except I use sad music (Nf fans know what I’m talking about). When I am at work, I constantly have music in my ear. On days when I don’t have music, I end up so stressed out that I can’t function. It also helps when I work on any kind of project.

True Friends
By Austin Blair

True friends are the ones that you meet, never expecting anything but your company. They are there when you fall, when you stumble or crawl. The Ines you feel that deep down connection in your should. One built on trust and hard times.
Those are the type of friends I need in my life right now. Ones that will never give up on me when things get tough.
The shadows are my friends right now cause the situation always changes, never know when you are gonna come across that big river called relief.

Loneliness
By Austin Blair

A wise man once told me if I went to prison, expect Loneliness.

I didn’t believe him until I experienced it for myself.

I’m surrounded by 60 people at any given time and feel an emptiness inside me. I’ve signed up for several pen pal programs and still feel lonely. I try and I try to get female pen pals but never get very far. They all stop talking to me after awhile. One or two of them stuck around. My girlfriend that I had when I came time left me. I’ve learned to embrace it instead of fighting it. People say they will come see me, yet here I sit with no visits.

We are all here on this earth for a reason. We are all people, no matter what we have done. So if you see somebody that looks lonely don’t be afraid to sit with them and make friends.
You never know, you could be the reason somebody decides to keep trying, and living.

Paralyzed in Sleep
By Austin Blair

It was late one night, I was in my room. I was on a phone, video calling with my girlfriend at that time. I was singing to her cause she couldn’t sleep. When I knew she was sound asleep, I hung up and got out my home made Ouiji board. I have always been interested in the paranormal. When nothing came of using the board, I put it up and fell asleep. Well, I thought I was asleep. I turned my head and looked at my closet- which had a curtain instead of a door that I had pulled open- and staring out at me was a set of eyes. Red eyes. I could see anything else. As soon as I looked at it, I could not look away. I fought, and when I could move I bolted out of my room, grabbed my moms gun, turned the light on, and checked my closet. There was nothing.

I chalked it up to a nightmare then fell asleep. The rest of the night was peaceful.

End
