Anyone is able to maintain physical health and wellness while incarcerated by doing daily strenuous workouts that turn into a form of slight workaholism due to the distraction from more serious parts of oneself that need maintenance, which are the mind, heart, and soul.
All things must be genuinely aligned, or you will be categorized as the guy who has a nice body and good workout regimen, but who’s also mean, unapproachable, too serious etc.
When someone speaks of you and you deem yourself worthy, there should never be a “but” following the description of your characteristics, because the “but” cancels out the good characteristics.
As human beings we must inspire, share, connect, resonate, and embrace one another from every aspect of one another and see ourselves as completely equal. We are all born equal and we will all die equal.
Health is necessary to complete one’s stature, but a person is not complete without the possession of the elements listed above as a trustworthy human being.
You must keep your brain stimulated by literature and material that is conducive to health and productivity, which will also contribute to the above characteristics, promote healthy thinking, help affirm your inner greatness, and help to eliminate the inmate/convict strategy that was created to divide us while inside.
While we must be mindful of our surroundings at all costs, being aware of sex offenders and informants, no man should be able to know your thoughts or personal feelings about them simply by your rejection, sour facial expressions or disrespectful categorization of them by being judgmental. It’s easy to mind your business, stay to yourself, and be selfish or secluded; it takes skills, confidence, compassion, and empathy to show that you can walk into, embrace, and conquer any room or crowd.
Remain positively full of mystique and attractively unpredictable.
What you digest is also very impactful to your physical and mental health too. While we cannot judge or criticize the palate pleasures of others, we should always keep in mind the benefit of each bite of food you consume not just for the flavor and satisfaction.
Of course being incarcerated makes the challenge of maintaining mental and physical wellness more difficult because everyone is at a different level of development; healing and dealing with trauma, pain, loss etc., but it’s a fact that happiness, peace, love, unity, and positivity is contagious and when you make an effort to be a leader as in many of the examples provided in this missive, others will see and be inspired to do something similar to what they see you doing daily.
I encourage anyone who has read this and has been shifted or inspired in any way to let life flow through the continual detachment from materialistic things, ideas of success, repetitive thinking of financial gain, sexual lust and cravings, and the need to be seen as respected or recognized, and in turn be attached to spiritual development through prayer, meditation and a constant belief that in due time you will receive all that you deserve.
