Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.—W.T. Purkiser
The body of work shared on Minutes Before Six is a labor of love brought to you through the devoted efforts of:
Incarcerated writers and artists, who use their own resources – stamps, stationery, writing and art supplies – to contribute to our project. They face their reality with enormous courage, and we are in awe of their strength and ingenuity and applaud their efforts to rehabilitate through the arts. Our writers and artists are the soul of Minutes Before Six.
Our volunteers, who are some of the very best people on this planet. They generously and ongoingly contribute their time and energy to nurture the creativity of our contributing writers and artists, via efforts that include (to name a few) typing and editing, sharing on social media, and providing creative consultation and encouragement. Our volunteers are the heart of Minutes Before Six.
Our Board of Directors keeps us focused on our mission to provide a voice to those silenced by incarceration with their guidance, compassion, and resources. Their encouragement and vision have been crucial to the growth of Minutes Before Six and their dedication is inspiring, and very much a gift. Our Board is the brain of Minutes Before Six.
Many thanks to all of you who take a genuine interest in the work we do at Minutes Before Six too.
