Robert Haas has been incarcerated since 2014 and currently resides at Shawangunk
Correctional Facility in New York. Prior to his incarceration he served over 18.5 years
in the U.S. Army as an Intelligence Analyst and Recruiting Instructor. He served during
the Recovery Operations at Ground Zero immediately following the September 11,
2001, attacks as well as numerous overseas deployments.

Since his incarceration, Robert has earned his Doctorate Degree from Shalom Bible
College and Seminary in 2021, and has served as the inmate pastor / facilitator for the
Protestant faith group for the past 5 years. Employing the Biblical principles of equality,
fairness, justice and mercy, he is also a staunch advocate for prison reform, partnering
with organizations to demand systemic changes both locally and nationwide.

In his free time Robert enjoys tutoring his fellow incarcerated individuals, teaching
business and entrepreneurship classes (leveraging his MBA in Marketing), reading,
