My name is Lorenzo Saylor #1366101. I am currently incarcerated serving a 12 1/2 year sentence, in which I serve 65% of. I’ve been down 3 years of writing this scribe. I am 38 years old and a father of one. I currently have been convicted of assault, drugs, and a gun. What brings me to writing you guys, I just want to be heard. I am fighting the time by filling my day with things to do. Whether it’s learning or reaching out trying to stay connected to the outside world. Networking and being social is a big part of doing time. If you don’t have support and positive people around you, it is hard to make it on a day to day. I’ve been working on my plan to return to society and changing the way I think. I spend my time reading and reaching out to organizations hoping to gain resources, connections to help me with my change. Don’t be a stranger; be a friend. Your company will be very much valued and appreciated during this journey. To know me is to love me.
