My name is Lewis Caribe Butler. I am the second oldest out of six siblings. I am a father of four biological children but have six step kids I’ve raised since the age of twenty-three. I am recently divorced and just moved from my hometown Oakland Can, to Reno for a new start. Since a young age, I’ve experienced challenges including incarceration and homelessness. I’m very motivated to give my children a life that I’ve never had and am very proud of myself for achieving much more than I ever thought was achievable. I take writing as a chance to comprehend the things I don’t understand or to actually figure out my thoughts when their jammed in my head, I dropped out of school at a young age due to having speech impairment, I eventually went to Berkely City College in which, that opened more doors I never that was possible. I have a passion for learning, being adventures and standing out while blending in.
