My name is Francisco Javier Valenciano Jr. and I am 45 years old. I am a Mexican (Chicano) and Filipino. I was born and raised in Watsonville, California in Santa Cruz County. I am in a committed relationship with my fiancee, Veronica Guzman, and we have a blended family of five daughters and a dog named Sunny D. I have been down since 2004, serving an 84 to Life sentence, and I have a Youth Offender Parole date in 2027.
I joined an art class called, Art Heals All Group, or A.H.A. Group, so I may give back to my community here in prison as well as out there in society. I hope to tap into my untapped potentials as an artist. Art is a way for me to express myself in a positive and prosocial way. Plus, art is therapeutic, and soothing, lets me escape the prison environment for a while. Lastly, this art class allows me to stroll down memory lane when I was a child.
